Attention eg Friends:

This is the first of a series of ten announcements leading up to the eg conference 7-9 April — a gathering of the best of current and future thought in entertainment & education, innovation & imagination.

As we gear up for the fifth anniversary, we are placing the entire trove of eg presentations on line, starting with the full contents of last year's opening session.

All video is available in hi-def, and the playlists present the full, unedited sessions just as they were composed in the program.

Enjoy!

Stay tuned for more videos, and more presenter announcements in a week.

Warm wishes from Boston as we button down for another Nor'Easter,

NEW UNCUT VIDEO SESSIONS

MAKE ME ONE WITH EVERYTHING:
LEE, SIMPSON, COLEMAN, MEAD, DYSONS, HOLMAN, CHAN, GITTINS, BROWN

Anna Lee, a bubbly fourteen-year-old violinist, kicks off eg with an electrifying performance. (And a little help from emcee Michael Hawley at 12:00 in...) Josh Simpson, a glass artist from central Massachusetts, makes miniature planets — inspired by his bride, Cady Coleman, NASA astronaut bound for the international space station. Magician and busker Eric Mead shows more elegant three-ball moves in two minutes than you ever thought possible. The Dysons, George and Esther, reminisce about their brilliant Dad. Hacker/inventor Pablos Holman unveils some of the latest whiz-bang breakthroughs from Intellectual Ventures. Brian Chan, a self-described "maker of everything," shows off a few of his latest creations. Blurb founder Eileen Gittins opens a new chapter on books that radiate personal passion. And Adobe's mad scientist, Russell Preston Brown (a.k.a. Obi Wan Adobe), seems to be doing something with lasers and wine casks...

A full session from eg, unedited and presented in its entirety from the conference.
